We are a community where all ages are welcome and valued, journeying together in the life of faith. It doesn’t matter whether you are not yet sure if God exists or have been following Jesus for a lifetime, you are welcome here. You matter to God and you matter to us.
We are a part of the movement called Churches of Christ. We can vary in our practices and expressions of church, but we share the core values of simplicity and freedom in Christ, as we all focus on being communities that follow Jesus.

Our Story
Our journey began in April 1945, following a 6-week tent mission on vacant land on Bong Bong Street, Bowral. At its conclusion, there was a conviction that a new church community should be established here in Bowral. The first meeting of the church was held on 4th June 1945.
In 1947 a building fund was started and in 1949 land on Wingecarribee Street was purchased. Building work commenced in May 1953 and we officially opened on 25th February 1956. In 1960 the community purchased the block next door, to build a house for the pastor. It was built with largely voluntary labour and completed in 1962.
In the mid 1980’s the church had grown considerably. It was decided to build a new worship centre at the back of the original building. Again, with mostly volunteer work the centre was completed in December 1987. The remaining sections of the building were completed gradually, as the church could finance the works.
Throughout our journey, many faithful people serving God have created the legacy we enjoy today. Our buildings have changed, and we have embraced new technology, but the purpose has always been to connect people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ!

Leadership Team
The Elders are part of the Leadership Team who oversee many of the practical necessities of church life, and lead by example in the way they wholeheartedly serve. The current members of our Leadership Team are: Pat Bazeley, Keith Nicholson, Marie Percival, Ken Chua (Office Administrator) and Janice Hickman.
